The social media website aimed at teenagers, Bebo, faces closure as it is widely perceived to have lost the battle for market share to Facebook and Twitter. Although still quite popular in the UK, the website has not come close to justifying the £420 million price paid by AOL in March 2008 and its 12 million users are now dwarfed by Facebook`s 400 million users.
